# Link your company to an agency

Give an agency access to your containers with its link code

Working with an agency on your tracking? Link your company to that agency. The agency can then see and manage all containers of your company, in AdPage and through the AI connection (Claude, ChatGPT). You stay the owner of your company, and you decide which agency you link with.

{% hint style="info" %}
A link always needs both sides: you send a request with the agency's link code, and the agency accepts it. Until the agency accepts, it has no access.
{% endhint %}

## How it works

1. The agency sends you its **link code**.
2. As the owner of your company, you paste the code in your company settings and send a request.
3. An owner or admin of the agency accepts the request.

## Agency: find your link code

You see the link code as an owner or admin of the agency.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open your clients

Log in to [AdPage](https://data.adpage.io/auth/login) and go to **Klanten** (Clients).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open Klant koppelen

Click **Klant koppelen** (Link client) at the top right.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Copy the code and send it

Under **Koppelcode** (Link code), click the code to copy it. Send it to the owner of your client's company.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Client: send the request

Only the owner of the company can link an agency.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open the settings of your company

Log in to [AdPage](https://data.adpage.io/auth/login), go to **Containers**, open the tab **Eigen containers** (Own containers) and click the settings icon behind your company.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Paste the link code

In the **Bureau koppelen** (Link agency) section, paste the link code and click **Controleren** (Check).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check the agency and send the request

AdPage shows the name of the agency the code belongs to. Make sure this is the agency you work with, then click **Verzoek versturen** (Send request).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The request stays open for 7 days. Until the agency answers, it shows as **Wacht op akkoord** (Waiting for approval). You can withdraw it with **Intrekken** (Withdraw).

## Agency: accept the request

You receive an email when a client sends a request. Go to **Klanten** › **Klant koppelen**, and under **Verzoeken van klanten** (Requests from clients) click **Accepteren** (Accept). From then on, the client is listed under **Klanten**.

## After linking

* All members of the agency can see and manage the client's containers in AdPage.
* Through the AI connection (Claude, ChatGPT), owners and admins of the agency get access to the client. This can take up to an hour. After that, disconnect and reconnect the AdPage connector in your AI tool.
* In the company settings, the owner sees which agencies the company is linked to.

## Link an agency or add a user?

* **Linking an agency** gives the agency access to your company, and your company appears as a client of the agency.
* **Adding a user** gives one person access to your company, for example a colleague. See [Client: Add a user to your company](/accountmanagement/account-and-users/client-add-a-user-to-your-company.md).

Not sure how companies, agencies and users relate? See [Account hierarchy](/accountmanagement/account-and-users/account-hierarchy.md).

## Unlinking an agency

To remove the link between your company and an agency, contact support at <support@adpage.io>.

## Troubleshooting

* **I don't see Klant koppelen or Koppelcode.** Only owners and admins of an agency see the link code.
* **I don't see Bureau koppelen.** Only the owner of a company can link an agency. Ask the owner, or ask AdPage support who the owner is.
* **"Geen bureau gevonden met deze koppelcode"** (No agency found with this link code). Check the code, or ask the agency to send it again.
* **"Er staat al een verzoek open"** (A request is already open). A request between this company and this agency is already waiting. Wait for the agency, or withdraw it and send a new one.
* **The request expired.** Send a new request with the same link code.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.adpage.io/accountmanagement/account-and-users/link-your-company-to-an-agency.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
